Let's give this another try with McLaren, who are on their third engine of the season and we're still trying to test. Yesterday during the lunch break, rookie Stoffel Vandoorne was reporting multiple issues at once and Honda confirmed that the were changing the engine again after finding yet another electrical issue, not similar to Mercedes AMG Petronas' issue last week. The team is back out in Spain today for day 2 of the second week of Formula One testing in advance to the Australian GP in a few weeks. The boss of Honda is telling media outlets that he's worried about the future of McLaren after Jenson Button retired and now they have Vandoorne and Fernando Alonso, who have both had their issues in Spain. As pracice is wrapping up soon, McLaren went back out after a red flag for Kimi Raikkonen, the team announced Alonso was going out for "gathering aero data, testing tyre compounds and mapping the power unit". The aero data and tyre test was going to happen anyways but they want to map out the power unit since the engine was just put in yesterday night after the electrical poblem was found. Both the rookie and veteran are testing today. Earlier today the team retired early before Alonso came out, Honda denied reports that it had somehing to do with the engine this time and that everything is fine.

Well then, he's back... Felipe Massa recorded the quickest time in Day 1 of Week 2 of Formula One testing in Barcelona today. He also tied Sebastian Vettel with 168 laps, the most ran today. Lewis Hamilton admitted the Scuderia Ferrari of Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen may have the advantage as they have both have shown speed. McLaren on the other hand... yeah. McLaren Honda was running 7th quickest at the break behinf Toro Rosso with rookie Stoffel Vandoorne, but when the lunch break came, the team found an electrical probelm, and Honda confirmed they had to change the engine, again. Pascal Wehrlein is back for the first time since his RoC crash in Florida over the winter.

William Byron stepped up to the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season with JR Motorsports after missing the Truck Final 4 by 8 laps last season as his engine blew with Kyle Busch Motorsports. Byron is a former Late Model driver for Jr and is back in a top series. He is a student at Liberty University, his sponsor but a lack of help could have costed him this year. But Axalta is stepping up to sponsor him in 15 races this year and will help the whole organization in 15 more next season. Byron crashed out at Daytona last weekend and hopes to rebound at Atlanta this week.

Who would have guessed? Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 struggled today. Valtteri Bottas only ran 9 laps in his his car and multi-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton didn't even complete a lap. According to Hamilton's twitter, the Brit said he found an electrical problem in his new car that was not caused by F1's newest rules involving various parts of the car. Hamilton deemed the car unsafe to drive and retired before going out. The team is loading up and leaving Spain to head back to Great Britain to fix the problem to be ready for Australia. Also from today's final session, Williams-Martini F1 did not practice after excessive damage rookie Lance Stoll caused to the car after spinning out early 2 days in a row. That led to now out of retirement man Felipe Massa, who came back following the news Bottas was going to Mercedes to replace Nico Rosberg, who retired after winning the 2016 championship, his first.
Busch Survives Crazy Daytona 500

You heard it here first, yesterday was the craziest and best Daytona 500 I've ever seen, a race that started calm and finished in chaos. In fact, I think we had more cars still running at the end than we did in the Truck and Xfinity races COMBINED. We know what happened with the Trucks, 1/3 of the field was taken out on lap 2 including Stewart Friesen and Noah Gragson. JGR/KBM aren't too happy since they are going home with 3 destroyed Trucks (though Bell's survived being airborne TWICE and a last lap wreck that had Matt Crafton flip) . All 3 Xfinity cars are totaled after Daniel and Erik were in the same crash and someone took Matt out coming to the line. In the Cup series, Kyle Busch won stage 1 while Kevin Harvick won stage 2, Kyle's brother Kurt won the stage that mattered. Kyl was involved in a wreck on lap 103 after blowing a tire drafting with his Toyota teammates, so again, the Toyota's working together backfired. Erik Jones was in the wreck along with some other teammates, who were in the draft, it also took Dale Earnhardt Jr out as he failed to make the new 5 minute rule for damage. Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson both ran dry on fuel on the last few laps allowing Kurt to pass, but I'm telling you, one more lap and Ryan Blaney would've won, he was on a mission. It is his best career finish in Cup. AJ Allmendinger finished 3rd.

Tim McCreadie was 8 laps from winning his first Super Dirt Week race in October last year, it would have been his first win of the year too, he didn't win until November where he won 2 nights in a row. Well, he's already got a win in 2017. McCreadie from Watertown, NY, known by his father Bob, came from the B-Main to winning the A-Main in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race at East Bay in his new Longhorn Chassis by Bobby Labonte, Sweetners Plus 39.
"I didn't know where I was at before the yellow came out. I ran as hard as I could and we got there. I didn't think our chances were very good to win tonight from where we started (outside row nine). We have struggled to get this car to qualify. Low and behold, I am good in these conditions," said the driver who finished third in the 2016 LOLMDS Championship Points Standings.
Completing the top ten were Kyle Bronson, Scott Bloomquist, Darrell Lanigan, Jonathan Davenport, and Austin Hubbard.
