If you're from NY, you know this young-gun. Dirt Modified young-gun Tyler Dippel of Wallkill, NY has been named the new driver of the Rette Jones Racing 30 car as lack of sponsorship will prevent Dominique Van Wieringen from competing in her 2nd season in the K&N East progra

“Dominique will always have a home at Rette Jones Racing,” said team principal Mark Rette. “Dominique did an incredible job throughout her rookie season in the K&N Pro Series East. The entire team was working hard building cars that we’d hope would allow her to carry her late season momentum into the new year at New Smyrna. Unfortunately, the dynamics have changed and we don’t expect to run two cars for the season-opener next weekend.”

Though they say she will not run full-time, RJR said they will love to have her back for select races as they are talking to sponsors.

Dippel will be in familiar colors, D&A Concrete Contractors, TYCAR Trenchless Technologies, sponsors he's had with dirt modifieds and his K&N rookie campaign last year with HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks. He will start at New Smyrna in the JET Tools 150 with Rette the crew chief. Dippel with again be in the 30, in a Ford Fusion.
